Terms

What to expect when you use HotSEO.

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who we are

HotSEO is provided by House of Devs BV, Frederiklaan 26, 2281 XN Rijswijk, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 99680580, VAT number NL869089353B01. In these terms, “HotSEO”, “we” and “us” mean House of Devs BV. You can reach us at info@hotseo.ai.

2. Scope

  1. These terms apply to every use of HotSEO at app.hotseo.ai, to every subscription and order, and to the marketing site hotseo.ai.
  2. HotSEO is for businesses only. By creating an account you confirm that you act for a business or profession, not as a consumer.
  3. “Customer” or “you” means the business that holds the team account. The person who registers confirms they may bind that business to these terms.
  4. Your own general terms do not apply, even if you refer to them.
  5. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms. It covers personal data we process for you.

3. The service

  1. HotSEO helps you produce SEO content for your websites. It collects signals from sources you connect, generates content with AI models, lets you review and edit that content, and publishes approved content to destinations you configure.
  2. Features differ per plan. The current plans and features are listed on our pricing.
  3. We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces a feature you pay for, we tell you at least 30 days in advance. You may then end the affected subscription at the end of the current term.
  4. Some features rely on third parties, such as Google, review platforms, AI model providers and your publishing platform. We are not responsible for changes to or outages of those services.

4. Accounts and teams

  1. You need an account to use HotSEO. Give accurate details and keep them current.
  2. Accounts are personal. Do not share login details. Use team invitations to give colleagues access.
  3. Team owners and admins decide who joins a team and which role they have. You are responsible for everything done through your team’s accounts.
  4. Keep your credentials safe. We recommend two-factor authentication or a passkey. Tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
  5. For support, our staff may sign in to your account with a support session. We only do this to help you or to investigate a problem, and every session is logged.

5. Trial, subscriptions and payment

  1. A new team gets a free trial of 14 days. No payment details are needed. When the trial ends, you need a paid subscription to keep generating content.
  2. Subscriptions are per site, per month or per year, as chosen at checkout. They renew automatically for the same term unless cancelled.
  3. Prices are in euros and exclude VAT, unless stated otherwise. Payment runs through Stripe by card, SEPA Direct Debit or iDEAL. You authorise us to charge the chosen method at each renewal.
  4. An upgrade takes effect immediately, and we charge the pro rata difference for the rest of the term. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal. There is no credit for the current term.
  5. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. The new price applies from your next renewal. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before that renewal.
  6. Each site has a monthly AI usage allowance. When a site reaches it, generation for that site pauses until the next month or until you raise the allowance. We warn you at 80%.
  7. If a payment fails and is not settled after a reminder, we may freeze the affected sites. A frozen site keeps its data, but generation and publishing stop until payment is made.
  8. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it or we end the service without cause (see section 12).

6. Your content and data

  1. “Your content” means everything you or your sources put into HotSEO. That includes brand descriptions, instructions, crawled pages of your sites, data from connected sources, uploaded files and voice recordings. It also includes the content HotSEO generates for you.
  2. You keep all rights to your content. Generated content belongs to you once created, to the extent any rights exist in it.
  3. You give us a licence to store, process and transmit your content only to provide and support HotSEO for you. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not let our providers do so.
  4. You confirm you have the right to connect each site, account and source you add, and to let us crawl those sites and read those accounts on your behalf.
  5. You may create share links for content, proposals and reports. Anyone who has a link can view it without logging in, for 90 days. You decide who receives a link.

7. AI-generated content

  1. HotSEO uses AI models from third parties. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or similar to content elsewhere.
  2. You must review every piece before publishing. HotSEO has an editorial review step for that reason. You are responsible for what you publish, including its accuracy, legality and compliance with advertising and consumer law.
  3. We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic, visibility in AI answers, or other result.

8. Connected services

  1. When you connect a source (such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console or a review platform) or a destination (such as a CMS or Git repository), you authorise us to access it with the permissions you grant. We only use them to provide HotSEO.
  2. The terms of that service still apply between you and its provider. You can disconnect a service at any time in HotSEO or with the provider.
  3. HotSEO publishes only what you have approved, to the destinations you configured.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use HotSEO to:

  • publish unlawful, defamatory, deceptive or infringing content, or content that impersonates others;
  • generate spam or large volumes of low-quality pages to manipulate search engines;
  • invent reviews, testimonials, credentials or other claims you cannot back up;
  • connect or crawl sites or accounts you are not authorised to use;
  • get around usage limits, share accounts, or resell access without our written consent;
  • probe, overload or disrupt HotSEO, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows;
  • break the terms of connected services, such as Google’s API terms.

We may remove content or suspend access to stop a breach. Where possible we warn you first and give you time to fix it.

10. Availability and support

  1. We aim to keep HotSEO available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. There is no uptime guarantee unless agreed in writing.
  2. We may carry out maintenance. Where possible we plan it outside Dutch business hours and announce it in advance.
  3. Support is available by email at info@hotseo.ai on Dutch business days.

11. Liability

  1. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage.
  2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. That includes lost profit, lost revenue, lost rankings or traffic, lost data that you could have restored, and reputational damage.
  3. We are not liable for damage caused by third-party services, or by content you published without reviewing it.
  4. These limits do not apply to damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness of our management.
  5. You must report a claim in writing within 12 months after you discovered, or should have discovered, the damage. Otherwise the claim lapses.
  6. You indemnify us against third-party claims arising from content you published or from your breach of these terms.

12. Term and termination

  1. To cancel a subscription, email info@hotseo.ai before the end of its term. We contact you to confirm, and the subscription ends at the end of that term.
  2. You can delete your user account at any time in your profile settings.
  3. We may suspend or end your access immediately if you seriously breach these terms, fail to pay after a reminder, or if the law requires it. If we end the service without cause, we give 60 days’ notice and refund fees paid for the unused period.
  4. After a subscription or team ends, you can ask us within 30 days for a copy of your generated content. After that we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Confidentiality

Both parties keep the other’s non-public business information confidential and use it only for this agreement. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, or must be disclosed by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We announce material changes at least 30 days before they take effect, by email and in the app. If you do not accept them, you may cancel before they take effect. If you keep using HotSEO after that date, you accept the new terms.

15. Governing law

  1. Dutch law governs these terms. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.
  2. The competent court in The Hague, the Netherlands, has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
  3. If a provision is invalid, the rest stays in force. We then replace it with a valid provision that comes as close as possible to its intent.
  4. These terms are published in Dutch and English. If the versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.
